Ercell Marie Minix (born on November 18, 1964-December 1, 1989)Edit
Ercell Minix was the mother of Kendrick Perkins and the grandmother of Kendrick Perkins II and Kenxton Perkins. She lived in Beaumont, Texas. When Perkins was about 5, she was murdered. Ercell Minix was working at a Local Beauty Salon when she was shot in the neck by Sylvilla Humphrey. Humphrey and Minix were close friends. They argued on and off a couple of weeks before the shooting. Minix was kept on life support for six days before she died. Humphrey was sentenced for 30 years of murder and other crimes at Christina Melton Crain Unit in Gatesville, Texas. She died when she was about 25 years old. She is buried in Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont, Texas.
